If you want to eat noodles in Semarang, Mie Jempol is the best place to visit. This is the best place for you and your friends or your family to have fun or even to celebrate your graduation day. The place is quite accessible. It's near the campus. You can easily find this place on Google Map. It's really well-known in town, so you can ask random people on the street if you have difficulties in finding the place.
This place has its own sentimental value for me because this place was like a base camp for me and my friends. We used to have meetings or gatherings here. Unfortunately, most of those people have already graduated. You might want to come to this place and make your own history there. It might be more than just an ordinary restaurant for you, too.
How's the taste? You shouldn't be hesitant about the taste. It's absolutely delicious! You can tell how delicious the noodles are just by seeing the crowd that keeps coming to this restaurant. The noodles have unique flavor that I don't find in any other restaurants. It's really really fresh. I mean, duh, the noodles are homemade. The noodles are not too salty, not too sweet. The best part is, the texture. It's really yummy. I don't know how to describe it. It's just too good.
It's not just noodles. They serve lots of other menus such as Hainam Rice, Uduk Rice, Fried Rice, Crispy Mushroom, and many more! They also have many types of juices and other beverages you might also like. You should also try other Chinese foods they serve because they taste just as good as the noodles. It's really worth the try!
You don't have to worry about the price. It's not too expensive. It's around IDR 15k-25k. I know it's not really the price most students can afford. But, trust me, with the price like that, it's really worth it! It's, in fact, much cheaper than random noodles you find in the mall. This one is cheaper and has unique taste you might want to try.
The place is comfortable, too. You won't get too sweaty. They have some ACs there to keep you chill. It's not really wide, though. So, you have to hurry because it often gets too crowded at dinner. You can take your noodles home if you want or even order it through Gojek. But, if you want to eat there, I suggest you to hurry.
